So first of all, as many of you know, engagement shoots are my favorite….so today I had the pleasure of photographing Brooke Thomas and Scott Clark and we had SOOOO much fun! They are both so beautiful and make for such a pretty couple!! They are also just incredible to be around &  I am so excited to photograph their wedding this summer!!!

So we ended up doing the photoshoot on private property, meaning we trespassed…and I kept thinking we were going to get caught and kicked out the entire time, but it was TOTALLY worth it…here is just a little sneak peek of a few of my favorite shots from today:

more to come soon :)

Beautiful, sweet & full of joy…Amy is so much fun and was the perfect senior to kick off a season of portraits for 2011.

Here are a few of my favorites from our shoot in Santa Barbara:

If there is such thing as a perfect client, it would be Emily. Not only is she beautiful and easy to photograph, but she offered to climb a tree in stiletto boots, throw mass amounts of glitter in the air, and wade out in the ocean and climb on a rock at the end of our shoot…Emily, you are absolutely fantastic, and I am blessed to call you friend…thank you so much for inspiring me in new ways on this incredible shoot !!

He may have a generic name, but his talent and smile are out of this world.

Here is just a little teaser from our shoot today:

p.s. this is what I did instead of watching the superbowl.

Just a little sneak peek at their beautiful wedding in Santa Barbara today:

this is their adorable dog: Lulu. She was exhausted after chasing ladybugs all day:

and this was the incredible sunset that we were blessed with:

Just a little sneak peek from their wedding in Burbank last weekend:

I had a blast working with Jaron to build his modeling portfolio.
Here are a few from our shoot at Goleta beach:

There is something magical about this family.

I was contacted by a mutual friend who informed me that Jane, the mom, had been diagnosed with cancer, and they wanted one last photoshoot of their family before she went through chemo. I was so humbled to be asked to photograph them, and had no idea that I would leave the photoshoot feeling as if they had given me a gift.

They are such a beautiful example of what God designed family to be, and although they have a tough road ahead of them, they are standing firm. Even spending just a little bit of time with them I am inspired by their hope, and I truly believe Jesus is going to be made more beautiful to them through this all.

Here are a few photos from our shoot.

The incredible mother, Jane:

It’s a new year and you know what that means….lots of resolutions that I know I’ll never keep, and habits I intend to break that always seem to find their way back into my routine…but this year one thing I plan on actually keeping up is…. (drumroll) to blog once a week…..so here is the first of many posts this year (or at least the first of 52 posts)

I had a lovely restful break, and am still attempting to catch up on photos, so for now, here are a few of my favorites from a photoshoot I did of the Pinner siblings.

I knew one of the girls from youth group, and she asked me to photograph her siblings as a present for their parent’s anniversary. The only day we could shoot ended up being a very rainy day, but we brought colorful outfits, boots and umbrellas and made the best of it…and as you can see, we had quite a bit of fun along the way…
